Dry Bayou Lodge is located in Humphrey, Arkansas, just minutes from Stuttgart. Here, you’ll step into that classic old hunting-camp atmosphere — cozy, familiar, and rooted in good company. We work hard every day to give our hunters the best opportunity to kill birds. We offer duck and specklebelly goose hunts across a variety of environments, including flooded rice and soybean fields, brushy reservoirs, and dry corn fields for goose hunts. Waders and shotguns are required and not provided. We prefer a minimum of four hunters on weekends and welcome smaller groups on weekdays. We never mix groups and do our best to accommodate each hunter’s abilities. While we don’t provide meals, our fully stocked outdoor kitchen includes a commercial deep fryer, a 36" Blackstone griddle, a gas stove/oven, a charcoal grill, and a custom-built smoker. Bernard “Barney” Washington is a guide from Lonoke, Arkansas, with a lifelong passion for duck hunting. He owns and operates Broneck Kennels, where he trains hunting dogs and competes in field trials. Barney has been guiding with Dry Bayou Lodge for three years and loves sharing the hunt with every group he takes out.
Cam Shelton is a guide from Casscoe, Arkansas, who grew up duck hunting with his uncles, Jon and Bryan Houghton, the owners of Dry Bayou Lodge. He found his passion for duck hunting here and truly loves being in the field. Outside of hunting, Cam is a traveling musician who plays live music across the region and beyond. He’s known for having a good time with his hunters and making every trip enjoyable in the blind.
Nathan Persons (aka “Lumpy”) is a guide born and raised in Humphrey, Arkansas, with a lifelong love for duck hunting. Known for his fun personality and easygoing attitude, Lumpy keeps every hunt enjoyable while staying locked in on the details. He knows the birds and their patterns extremely well, and he loves helping each group have a successful, memorable time in the blind.
